"Stairwell Magic" was recorded in a five story, concrete stairwell at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, in March of 2012. I believe the stairwell has since been treated with sound dampening materials. This piece captures the glorious acoustic qualities of the space's natural reverberations. What you hear is almost completely untouched; I took out a low frequency buzz caused by the HVAC system, but there is no other editing.
